I’m sure many of us have spent the majority of the last year wearing pyjamas, comfy clothes and lounge wear in some way, shape or form. With lockdown lifting, it’s time to get out of those pyjama bottoms and into a stylish outfit. However, many of us feel like we’ve lost our mojo when it comes to styling cute outfits. We’ve got some tips and tricks for you in order to turn you into the style queen that you truly are.
My first top tip would be to get out of the lounge wear! I get it, we all like to be comfy. Once you put on a stylish outfit it will give you an abundance of confidence that you may not feel when you’re slouching around in your tracksuit bottoms. A great alternative that is still high in the comfort factor would be a jumper and leggings. To keep things cute, make sure that the leggings are great quality and aren’t see through at all. This may mean paying more than the £5 you would usually spend on them! Pair with a jumper that gives off spring vibes for that perfect transition into the warmer weather. This is also great for those of us who’ve put on the lockdown pounds over the last year and are a little apprehensive to wear tight fitting clothing!
A bold lipstick can help anyone feel more put together! Even if your outfit is super casual, by throwing on a bold lip it can really elevate your look. This also goes for accessorising. If your outfit it super simple and laid back, just pair it with some killer accessories. A mid-sized shoulder bag and some comfy flats are always a stylish and practical way to accessorise an outfit. As the sun is coming out, make use of your sun glasses! Not only are they a great accessory to add to your outfit, but they also help protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.
If you’re really struggling to put together a cute and stylish outfit, then I would suggest thinking about dresses, jumpsuits and two piece outfits instead. By wearing one of these instead, it means you don’t have to think about what it is that you’re putting on. You also don’t have to worry about your top half and bottom half clashing as the pieces were made to be worn together!
Last but not least, my favourite way to really feel put together is to wear perfume! The perfect perfume can give you a real confidence boost, making you feel a million bucks. Pop a spritz behind each ear, and another on the inside of your wrist. Be sure to avoid any jewellery you’re wearing as over time the alcohol in the perfume can cause your jewellery to tarnish and loose colour depending on what materials it’s made of. My favourite perfume at the moment is Chanel No.5.
